my first time stretching paper. Mada advised me to sponge the paper first before using the brown paper tape to secure it.
i got two pieces of watercolour paper for this, a 200gsm and a 300 gsm fabriano watercolour paper. sponged them with coffee. i couldn't find wood large enough to fit the 75cm x 105cm papers so i had to fasten one of them onto the underside of a table.
i'm still procrastinating whether or not to get the paper in roll. 10m of 300gsm watercolour paper costs $190, and the other alternatice , 10m of 160gsm cartridge paper costs just $53. man oh man, boy oh boy. . .
i realised that i am able to do work once dusk arrives.
i keep working on this piece, something was just not right. i think i can finally call it quits after smearing the background in cofffee.
