anyway i've gotta edit www.michywitchy.blogspot.com a little bit - gonna be adding a main page before it redirects to the page with thumbnail updates. haven't got the time to update it for months.
it was a quiet day for me, plenty of alone time in the workshop. Mada showed me how to use the silkscreen press and it was quite awesome(picture below!).
gonna have to get Mada a new piece of plastic sheet because i will be using it quite often and she got it for herself in the first pace and offered it to me for testing. tomorrow, art friend here i come. will need to buy supplies for next week's workshop too YAY!
but i couldn't get the printing done on my final because of unforeseen circumstances -
1. i tore the top right edge of my work while trying to get it off the plywood i stretched it on and had to waste some time joining it back together
2. the screen i had first exposed had certain sections cleaned out during washing as you can see in the picture below( probably due to grease stuck on its surface before i coated the emulsion, which prevented it from adhering to the mesh)
3. i went for class and broke the plastic container filled with green ink i mixed when it fell from the table ( knew that would happen)
4. lesson about blogging and creation of the portfolio using a blog ( the internet connection was so damn slow it took ages to load pictures displayed on some classmates blogs)
