ANITYA 1

I was at Anitya 1, an experimental performance by local band, The Observatory, in a collaboration featuring illustrator Andy Yang.



As the music(borrowed from the Buddhist mandala ritual) played, the artist with gestural brushtrokes, filled the blank canvas, at the same time reacted to the sounds with the clash or the change of tools, or with more intense movements with the brush on canvas.




Right now, The Observatory is calling non-traditional, open-minded artists, as they seek collaborators for the Instalment II of the next ANITYA series. Email them at info@theobservatory.com.sg!
