The Infinite Supply Of: set up day 2

Frayn dropped by to settle the vinyl sticker for wall text.
Here, we were shifting and adjusting the projection so the text won't be skewed.

Then the painting began, and lasted for an hour or so...

but the silly me painted in the wrong exhibition closing date, so Mandy had to edit it :P

and the rest were busy hanging and aligning the artworks in place,
as well as taking extra care with the minute details

after the painting was done, we drilled holes in order for the hooks to fit.
we then hung our khadas and winter jackets below the exhibition title.
yay! we're on our way to near- completion of setting up!

SURFACE 1°22 : sneak peek of set up

vinyl stickers installed!

Maria installing with Emily overseeing

combination of machine and hand embroidery by Susie Rees. She teaches embroidery class in the Fashion
faculty. I really love what she is doing. Never done hand/machine embroidery before and would really love
to learn all these wonderful techniques! : )

got an elongated pedestal and Emily suggested for me to cover the top surface with one of my full length hand
printed fabrics. loved the idea, so ironed it then stuck double sided tape at the edges to secure the sides down.

some folded scrap hand printed fabric on the surface of the pedestal

Edgeworthi Gardneri : Set up in Progress

the previous Minutes of Meeting zine exhibition helped me a lot with the planning of Edgeworthia Gardneri's set up.
Everything went according to plan( plus and minus here and there)

set up began at 12 noon. here are some preview of the artworks, and a failed poster print

they decided not to change the fonts, and use coffee to stain it.
i would have preferred for it to go as planned but i guess the mind has to be
kept open for changes and suggestions

our darling lecturers Betty and Hazel hard at work

design lecturers Stanley & Andri helped with the vinyl cut sticker transfers
it was Stanley who did the die cut first on illustrator before sending it for printing : )

I got my simple silhouette design printed at Peace Center before delivering
it to them for the paint job. Bridget & Melissa worked hard on this, with Michael who is not in the picture
