i'm creating studies today!
couldn't have done it without floaty's help with pasting the cut outs on the pre printed works. 0: )

i colour tested on one of the rejects, and realised that it's not that bad after all! 0: )
i'm quite happy, because i am confident now that i have seen progression in what i've been doing so far.
hopefully i'll be about 30-40% complete for assessments.

and i'm okay with it actually, no cause for panic.
it's been a while that i've accepted mistakes, because
i know that it is quite impossible to be accurate all
the time, and the assessors will have to understand
that i am human after all. also, i've tried my best.
moreover, it'll take many years for me to perfect
this skill, that i have a lack of practice of.

Planting Peonies
oh man . . . even mr angry who helped the entire day
didn't finish enough to cover everything i needed!
next time i need to think of an even faster plan.
it's just too bad that i'm not skilled enough to register
my prints properly yet. maybe an entire year of printing
might help. or maybe two years. or three. or four. . .
printed peonies waiting to be covered

screen printing the 'grape' layer
bringing the screen down. . .
made it just in time to pack up.
i don't like this shade of pinkish-purple. it has to be darker, and more royal. means more ultramarine blue then.

i'm really glad that my screens are good and the prints are coming out fine 0: ) i don't have to do as many test prints as the past before printing on the 'final' works( 'final' because i need to select from the variations of the same print for framing ). I'm really happy with what i've done today. super duper productive day! wish i had worked faster though. . . and the cutting of little newsprint boys and baba boys are taking up loads of time. I'm glad angry's helping me tomorrow.

sigh. i spent my time in the workshop washing screens. luckily i managed to expose all three screens and had them test printed with the colours i mixed in just under and hour( fine tuning later) .
batcave's not going to be extended for this week, the week when i can start serious work. 0: ( sigh. gotta plan my time really wisely( not that i haven't been planning, it's just that schedule's going to be tighter than before. )

i've finally decided to print at Xorex(At nafa) . it's really affordable for a poor student like me, just $3 per piece, and i had 3 of these pieces printed at a discount, so she only charged me less than $6( either that, or she charged me the a1 price for printing. )
i usually join a few pieces of a3 paper to form the elongated layout for exposure, which is a hassle, and it takes up so much time trying to be as accurate as possible in matching the pieces. most of the time it's not perfect, and it frustrates me with registering my previous prints.
